Holding Space for Everyone on Mother’s Day

Holidays can be challenging.

Especially in this social media era! It can be difficult to see others posting their families and how happy they look. Comparing is at an all-time high since people can post and depict their lives in any light they choose for the world to see.

It’s Mother’s Day.

I would like to hold space for all the wonderful mamas out there. You are all amazing - and WOW! - I cannot imagine how you do all that you do.

The purpose of this blog is to hold space for everyone.

So if you..

-       Have lost your mother.

-       Were not or are not close to your mother.

-       Are trying to be a better mother.

-       Did not grow up with your mother.

-       Are trying to become a mother.

-       Are feeling sad or alone on Mother’s Day.

You are NOT alone.

I see you.

There is NOTHING wrong with you.

Please be kind to yourself today (and every day). Some raw feelings might come up today, but those feelings are not a one stop shop. They may arise any day, regardless of the holiday.

Self-Care Tips on Mother’s Day (and every day):

-       Prepare or order your favorite meal.

-       Watch your favorite television show.

-       Spend quality time with those who love and support you.

-       Pet your animal (or your friend’s animal) J

-       Go for a long walk or engage in another form of movement.

-       Change your environment – clean or rearrange your living space.
